Our Story so far
In 2008 a group of foodies set out to travel through Europe to taste every bit of charcuterie, olives, cheese and pasta that it had to offer. After falling in love with the culture, the people and the speciality cuisine we knew we had to bring it back for others to enjoy.
unearthed® was born in the U.K. and we’ve not looked back, but now we feel it’s time to bring our discoveries to the good people of America. We can’t bring you the weather or the amazing people we’ve met on our travels, but we can bring you a world of flavor.
Our mantra is to #keepdiscovering and we take it very seriously. We work hard to constantly discover exciting new flavors, combinations and foods from around the world to bring home.
All our food is completely traceable, from farm or field to fork and we are passionate about making sure our customers know exactly what the origin of our ingredients is.
We constantly look to improve the methods of production which includes reducing the amount of water and energy we use in our factories. The unearthed® team also works extremely hard to make sure that no unnecessary additives or ‘nasty’ ingredients can be found in our final product.
We’ve established a special relationship with the charity Action Against Hunger. Since 2010 we’ve donated 1p from every pack we’ve sold. This money directly supports Action Against Hunger’s work in helping severely malnourished children in the developing world. Sadly, there are over 2 million children around the world whose lives are lost due to severe hunger. The good news is that solutions do exist and that’s why we’re so committed to donating as much as possible to Action Against Hunger to help save children’s lives by putting an end to malnutrition.
We’re really proud that our donations have just reached over half a million dollars and are being invested in projects like one in the Baran, a rural area in Rajasthan, in Northern India. This collaboration motivates our team, resonates with the people who buy our food and reminds us all to be even more appreciative of the food we eat.
